What is the Lifestyle Support Service?
Lifestyle Support is an established service available to people with a learning disability and currently operates in the Omagh, Bangor and Banbridge areas of Northern Ireland.
It is a flexible and personalised service based on choice.
The service can support individuals with:
- daily living
- finances Finances are anything to do with money.
- maintaining their tenancy
- accessing day opportunities.
The support provided can be for one or two hours a week or up to as many hours as required. The service can also be used for a one off event.
How does it work?
A referral is made to the Lifestyle Support service, this can come from the individual themselves, a family member or a professional. We will then arrange to meet with the individual to discuss, establish and agree on an individualised plan together.
What are the benefits?
Some of the benefits of the project include:

- learning new skills
- accessing new opportunities and experiences
- community involvement
- increase in confidence and independence Independence means doing things on your own. Making your own choices. .
What are the costs involved?
The Lifestyle Support Service in not funded, therefore, individuals interested will need to be in a position to pay for the service themselves or source alternative funding such as self-directed support packages from their local Health and Social Care Trust.
