RTE Toy Show Appeal Fund Mencap NI Youth Programme
The RTE Toy Show Appeal has awarded Mencap NI funding to improve the wellbeing of young people with a learning disability by providing them with opportunities to improve their physical and mental health.
The FIVE Project focusing on Friendship,
Independence
Independence means doing things on your own. Making your own choices.
, Vitality and Engagement will provide six, 15-week programmes, combining individual mentoring with group activities. The project will work with small groups of 6-9 young people, aged 13-18, with a learning disability and special educational needs (SEN) in the Greater Belfast area.
