City Sightseeing Belfast

Mencap in Northern Ireland have been the official charity partner of City Sightseeing Belfast since August 2019. Over the past year the team have participated in a variety of events including the Mencap Superhero Walk, abseils, tea parties, sponsored walks and city collection days in Belfast. 

Jim Maguire, Buisness Developerment Manager said:

"Belfast City Sightseeing has raised more than £20,000 for Mencap in our first year and we're very excited to be build upon on that in the years to come.

indie

Indie Füde

Indie Füde selected Mencap as their corporate charity partner in June 2019. 

Indie Füde are an independent deli and online store selling the best and largest variety of Irish indigenous small-batch artisanal food and drink. Based in Comber, the team are excited about expanding to a new store in Belfast in late 2020. 

Since starting their charity partnership with Mencap, Indie Füde and their supporters have raised over £12,000 by hosting Süpper Clübs, Big Tea Parties, Mencap Superhero Walk and attended the Mencap Down Royal Race Day event. 

Johnny McDowell, Chief Taster at Inde Füde said: We have really enjoyed working with the team at Mencap and finding out all about the vital services they provide to support people with a learning disability. it's been truly inspiring to us as a team and we are delighted to support such a worthy cause. 

 

BNI BTP

BNI Northern Ireland

Business Networking International (BNI), Cathedral Chapter have supported Mencap since February 2020.

To date the group have collective contributed over £70,000 in fundraising and gift in kind. Many of the members have held bespoke events and participated or attended Mencap's own events.

TI Coaches

Travel Coaches Ireland

Mencap in Northern Ireland have been the official charity partner of Travel Coaches Ireland since August 2019. Over the past year the team have participated in a variety of events including the Mencap Omagh Golf Classic, abseils, tea parties, sponsored walks and collection.

Den

The Den

We are delighted to have The Den After Schools Club as a new charity partner for Mencap NI.

Through the partnership, The Den staff will avail of training courses provided by Mencap, as well as sharing and collaborating on new ideas and projects.

The Den have also set an ambitious target of raising £5,000 to support Mencap’s services through a range of fundraising activities over the next 12 months.

Based in Greenisland at the former Knockagh Lodge site, The Den provide afterschool care for primary school aged children, striving to enhance the development of each child in a friendly and encouraging environment.

“We are delighted to be working with Mencap NI. Having visited their Children’s Centre we were blown away by the services they provide to local children with a learning Disability. We can’t wait to get started and know that through sharing our knowledge and learning from the Mencap staff that we are all come away new lots of new skills and ideas which will benefit the children. We’ve already got lots of fun ideas to raise money to support such a worthwhile cause”

Oranga

Oranga

Oranga are a multidisciplinary design studio based in the centre of Belfast and have partnered with Mencap in  Northern Ireland since May 2019. 

Since starting their partnership with Mencap last year, Oranga have not only supported Mencap by raising thousands of pounds but have also provided creative support for events such as the Mencap Golf Classic, Down Royal Race Day, Superhero Walk and many others.

Chiho Tang, Directior said: We love working with Mencap and helping bring their ideas to life through our creative expertise. They do such wonderful work supporting thousands of local people with a learning disability, we're always happy to help in whatever way we can.
