Lets GO!

There are over 42,000  people with a learning disability in Northern Ireland. To help us support them, we’re going to be setting a challenge for our whole Mencap family – let's get moving for Mencap!

You can help us by completing your very own challenge around the number 42. You could run 4,2km or 42km over a week, do 42 press ups, or dance to 42 songs - it’s up to you, so get creative and do something you enjoy!

Set Yourself A Challenge

No matter if you’re running, walking, wheeling, jumping, dancing, golfing, planking, or anything else, your challenge won’t just make you feel amazing at the end of it - you'll be helping us raise money so we can continue to provide vital support to the people who need it most.

What do I need to do?

Choose your challenge - whether it’s running a 1.5km a day to walking 150 steps of your garden each day. See below for some inspiration!

To get started, sign up below and let us know what challenge you are taking on - we’ve already had some pretty inventive suggestions!

Then just set up your Virgin Money Giving page, and start asking friends and family for donations. You can even nominate someone to take on the challenge with you and fundraise as a team!

Move for Mencap inspiration:

  • If you’re a keen runner, you could take on 42Km in a month
  • Hold a 42 second plank every day for a week
  • Complete 42 laps of your park over a week
  • Learn 4 new yoga poses and hold for 2 minutes each
  • Do 42 keepy uppies with a football!
